Silent Chap
by Alan Corbishley
A silent play set to music, created, written and directed by Alan Corbishley, about the iconic Charlie Chaplin. The play focuses on the relationship between the artist and his creation, in this case ‘The Tramp”, and how those two personas need to share one identity. Through the play we see this duo needing to navigate career, fame, money and relationships. With not a word spoken till the final 2 minutes of the production, this fusion of multi-media, film, choreography, music and physical story telling proved a great artistic success.
